Animals travel in their billions all over the Earth, sometimes - like the Arctic Tern - covering global distances. Animal migration represents a masterpiece of biological adaptation and programming. The general objective of the Migration Ecology Research Group at the Department of Animal Ecology, Lund University, is to forward, by research and teaching, the understanding of adaptive values and evolutionary possibilities and limitations in animal migration, -flight, -orientation and energetics. Information about the PhD student course in Ecology of Animal Migration, Sep 29 - Oct 9 2009, is found here This website will probably be phased out and information here included in the CAnMove website
